Rain says that he plans to enter the army in the latter half of next year after shooting a hollywood film.
Rain talked about the terms of entering the army at KBS TV’s Wednesday and Thursday drama series ‘The Fugitive Plan B’ farewell party last 6th.
On that day, Rain expressed as, “I’ll enter the army in the latter half of next year after shooting a hollywood film I’ve recently arranged my schedule to fit into.”
And, he said, having a great affection for ‘The Fugitive Plan B’, “‘The Fugitive Plan B’ series haven’t enjoyed high viewer ratings, but the drama’s continuity in a unique way in a tightly woven plot has created a huge fan base for it. I’m grateful for the opportunity to have made a lot of friends during the drama shoot. I think this drama will win wide acclaim among the public as time goes on.”
Adding, “I really wanted to appear in a soap drama, but I think ‘The Fugitive Plan B’ can be far better received by the overseas critics because it is a detective drama with lots of suspense.”

I think he is saying he chose to do the Fugitive Plan B because he knew it would get him more expore outside Korea. That this type of drama is not something that Korea normally would love. However, other countries would love it because they like dramas like the Fugitive Plan B. I feel this drama could do very well in the US. He definitly has a huge fan base in love with this drama in the US. If this is what he is saying I think this was very smart of him. Because as an entertainer you should always think how can I continue to grow. Rain is not a world star for nothing. I love his forward thinking. He is a hardworker.
I too think Jihoon made a wise choice, as it continues to show his versatility as an actor. Also, I am so happy to hear about another Hollywood movie. WOW, I can’t wait… 😀
As usual, it sounds like he will have another very busy year (2011) ahead of him, and then the military.
