*Sixtofive1982 Exclusive!! Swee Wei, one of our Malaysian followers, won a Facebook contest for a “Meet-And-Greet with Rain” prior to the concert in Sepang. This is her special fan account. So happy for you girl, and THANK YOU for sharing this with all of us!!! ^ ^

Super tall, broad shoulders and OOH LA LA, extremely muscular! Those were the things that stuck me the most when I first set my eyes on him during our meet and greet session. It was around 8pm, just before his concert performance at the Helipad area of Sepang International Circuit.
We were split into two groups, Group 1 were the contest winners and Group 2 were those who had connections (eg. Sepang manager’s daughter, etc). But before that, we were briefed on what we can and cannot do – the worst fears of every fan I’m sure. No autographs and no cameras allowed! My heart sank after hearing these as we were told before that we would have our stuff signed and even take our own pictures with him! Nonetheless, we were still grateful for the opportunity to meet our idol.
My group was the first to go. There were about 7 or 8 of us and we went into this small dodgy looking tent located beside the stage that had a backdrop of ‘Rain Live at Sepang’ posters inside. We then lined up in an orderly manner waiting for our man to arrive. I was lucky enough to coincidently be in the centre! About 5mins later, Rain came in sporting a super thick black vest and cargo pants all ready for his concert performance and us. My excitement went sky high! And my guy friend made a sudden burst of “Yo wassup Rain!”, but to no respond from his end. Unfortunately, he kept on his sunglasses. So having that eye connection was a no deal. If only he took it off! Rain instantly went to shake all of our hands saying only “Hi”. There definitely wasn’t any conversation going as I guess most of us were too starstruck to even respond anything else except either “Hi” or “Annyeong Haseyo”. Btw, his hand was huge, muscular and well, a tad rough. I’ll never forget that feeling.
After greeting everyone, he proceeded to stand beside me and my girl friend for a group photo! SO LUCKY! I mean like, as long as he stood beside me, I really didn’t bother me much about not being able to have a one-on-one photo with him. Gosh, I absolutely felt like a midget beside him and felt very much protected. Omg, I wish I could go back to that moment now. Anyway, after the official photog took three snapshots, we had to leave! Wtf. So much for having 30 mins with our Rain That’s Korean management for you, very strict. Right after the photography session, I walked away A BIT and turned back at Rain as I wanted to do something but I couldn’t register in my mind what! Rain was also facing in my direction at that time, probably wondering what I was gonna do. But before I could settle on something, the guard was already beside me ushering us out. Sigh. Everything happened in a flash. And honestly, I regretted not asking for a hug as I was too scared due to so many restrictions and I was afraid I’d annoy Rain or something. Hopefully he doesn’t think that Malaysian fans are boring. Needless to say, my girl friend and I got out of the tent feeling quite emo after what felt like a 1min meet and greet. But hey, look on the bright side. How many Malaysians can say that they’ve met Rain?
On another note, I bumped into Rain’s entire group of dancers around 5pm as they were walking down the hill from the Grandstand entrance of Sepang heading towards the concert venue! As they were headed towards my direction, I automatically recognised Park Kyeong Yeol (aka gori7911 on Twitter), who was leading the pack, and said “Hi” to him while waving my hand and putting on a big grin. He smiled, nodded and seemed pleasantly surprised by my actions. I waved to the other dancers as well, but none acknowledged and just walked past. It didn’t matter as I was just too excited to have that chance to see them up close. Wheee!
